As a leading provider of data on charging stations for electric vehicles, the platform offers\u00a0high-quality information, global coverage, and real-time updates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But, how does this optimize the competitiveness of CPOs?<\/p>\n

Being part of this comprehensive database\u00a0increases the visibility of charging stations<\/strong>, attracting more users.<\/p>\n

Operators can use this information to assess the current\u00a0location of points, tariffs, and insights<\/strong>, aiming to identify coverage gaps and successfully\u00a0expand and optimize infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Currently, the\u00a0Netherlands<\/a>\u00a0is one of the leading countries in the transition to electric mobility, partly due to the numerous incentives offered.<\/p>\n

According to official figures from the RAI, BOVAG, and RDC Association,\u00a0369,791 new cars were registered in 2023<\/strong>, surpassing the forecast of 340,000 units.<\/p>\n

This growth was accompanied by over\u00a0500,000 charging points<\/strong>, including 442,000 domestic, 140,000 semi-public, and 4,500 fast semi-public, according to NAL.<\/p>\n

With knowledge of these data, CPOs can strategically\u00a0plan and optimize their charging network<\/strong>, identifying high-demand areas and potential expansion opportunities.<\/p>\n

This benefits not only the operators but also users who gain access to\u00a0accurate and up-to-date information<\/strong>, making it 100 per cent reliable.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Eco-Movement, we closely monitor regulatory developments across Europe and have created a service that helps CPOs report on their charging stations to National Access Points (NAPs),\u201d explains Martens.<\/p>\n

Therefore, one of the company\u2019s goals for this year is the\u00a0integration and support<\/strong>\u00a0of NAPs as required by European regulation.<\/p>\n

How? By ongoing discussions with various government levels to actively support and assist in their implementation.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that some of the companies and institutions that rely on their services include Google Maps, Apple Maps, Tesla, TomTom, ABetterRouteplanner, HERE, and the European Commission\u2019s EAFO portal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Electric cars are not the only focus of the European eMobility agenda, the decarbonization of\u00a0heavy transport<\/a>\u00a0is also crucial.<\/p>\n

Hence, in 2023, the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR<\/a><\/strong>) was approved as part of the\u00a0Fit for 55<\/strong>\u00a0package.<\/p>\n

The regulation broadly mandates the installation of charging stations for heavy vehicles with a minimum power of 350 kilowatts every 60 kilometers along the main network of the RTE-T.<\/p>\n

Additionally, every 100 km on the comprehensive RTE-T network from 2025, with complete coverage by 2030.<\/p>\n

CPOs must provide consumers with comprehensive information through electronic means about availability, waiting times, and prices at different stations.<\/p>\n

And here is where Eco-Movement aspires to contribute.<\/p>\n

Recognizing the importance of charging for heavy trucks, the platform directs its efforts towards\u00a0collecting and providing specific data<\/strong>\u00a0about charging stations suitable for these vehicles.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Netherlands and Germany are the main drivers of electrification growth in the EU, representing\u00a065 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0of sales.<\/p>\n

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers\u2019 Association (ACEA), registrations of eTrucks in the Dutch country increased by\u00a01,463.6 per cent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, Eco-Movement\u2019s focus extends beyond the Netherlands and even Europe, with a\u00a0global approach\u00a0<\/strong>encompassing America, Oceania, and increasingly the Middle East and Asia.<\/p>\n

Specifically, its database features\u00a0899,007 connectors distributed across 73 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to create a\u00a0full global dataset\u00a0<\/strong>of charging stations, covering all regions worldwide\u201d Martens explains.<\/p>\n

How does this work? By\u00a0collaborating with navigation companies and app developers<\/strong>\u00a0to create reliable and easy navigation to charging stations fueled by their data services.<\/p>\n

This increases the visibility of charging stations,\u00a0enhancing the experience for end-users<\/strong>\u00a0of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n
